The Baguio-Benguet Club for Scrabble (BBCS) was founded in 1997 by a group of a scrabble enthusiasts.  The Club has been in the forefront in organizing various notable scrabble tournaments in Baguio City, Philippines.  Among these tournaments are the annual Panagbenga Scrabble Tournament and the Camp John Hay Open.  A 24-hour scrabble marathon was organized in 2006.  It has also hosted the Philippine Scrabble Tournament back in 2004.

The BBCS has recently been holding seminars open to elementary and high school students hoping that they would be more involved in the game.
